Research interests

The aim of my research project is to identify and remove the barriers to the fractionation of various agricultural co-products derived from lignocellulosic biomasses. The aim is to fractionate these biomasses using efficient enzymatic and/or microbial biotechnological processes to produce molecules of interest (methane, fermentable sugars, bioplastics, enzymes, pigments, etc.).

To carry out my research project, I'm using approaches and tools (involving molecular biology, bioinformatics, microbiology) to set up 2 lines of research. These 2 lines of research target: 1) the mechanistic understanding of biomass degradation by microbial cooperation and by new players (lignocellulolytic microorganisms/enzymes), 2) the bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass into molecules of interest.

Teaching

Since 2017 : Teaching between 192 and 280 hours each year of courses, tutorials and practical work at bachelor's and master's level in microbiology, molecular biology...
