03 March 2016 - Intensive microscopy training for Mickaël Herbaut in New-Zealand

In the frame of his PhD thesis, Mickaël Herbaut stays for 2 weeks in a lab very very far from France...

Thanks to a collaboration initiated a few years ago between FARE lab and SCION in Rotorua, New-Zealand, Mickaël is now performing analyses on plant biomass samples. Welcomed by Dr Lloyd Donaldson, renowned in the world of wood microscopy, Mickaël uses some confocal and electronic microscopes to characterize the structure and accessibility of his samples. Results obtained ideally complete those previously gathered and strengthen the collaboration between the two labs.
