03 September 2018 - FARE researchers attend a meeting and visit some partners in Finland

Several researchers and PhD students have participated to the Lignobiotech meeting last week in Helsinki.

FARE lab was the most represented foreign group of researchers at Lignobiotech, one of the most important meeting dedicated to lignocellulose and its transformation, gathering close to 130 attendees. With no less than 4 oral communications and one poster presented during the meeting, researchers have shown the diversity of FARE's projects: retting dynamics and understanding in controlled conditions (Laurent Bleuze), preparation of cellulose-lignin films by Fenton reaction (Elise Pinloche), together with 4D imaging of lignocellulose deconstruction (Aya Zoghlami) and the search for universal markers of lignocellulose recalcitrance (Gabriel Paës).

In addition, a meeting between FARE researchers (Véronique Aguié-Béghin, Yassin Refahi et Gabriel Paës) was organised at the VTT Technical Research Centre in Aalto, one of the most important research centres on the wood forest valorisation, following preliminary contacts during ELB 2018 meeting organised by FARE at Reims in June 2018.
