26 January 2017 - FARE hires a permanent position for an INRA Research Scientist

The position is dediacted to "Modelling transformation processes of lignocellulosic biomass in 4D".

Appointed researcher will develop modelling approaches of the evolution of the lignocellulosic biomass architecture, while identifying and ranking structural and chemical features at different scales (from the organ to the molecule). He/she will rely on the pluridisciplinar know-hows of the host laboratory regarding chemical and physical characterization of lignocellulosic biomass, study of biological agents for the deconstruction in soils or in reactors in dynamic. He/she will be associated to the different on-going research projects that will favour the communication with the scientists producing data and knowledge, which is essential for this position.

Skills in the area of modelling and/or simulation of events in 3D/4D are desired, a first experience with an application in the plant sciences would be a plus. The position also requires some interactions with several researchers and engineers. Good collaborator skills and team spirit are also expected.

To apply: the position is part of a French national competitive examination at INRA, opened to French and non-French candidates. All details for checking admissibility to the examination and to apply are available on the INRA website: http://jobs.inra.fr/en/offers/emploi_perm in the section Open competition for junior research scientists. Deadline: 1st March 2017.
