27 September 2018 - FARE co-organises a symposium at the ACS spring meeting in 2019

The American Chemical Society organises twice a year a meeting gathering more than 10 000 scientists from all over the world. With more than 30 divisions, thousands of oral communications are given, with a chemistry perspective.

In particular, the CELL division deals with the sciences and technology related to cellulose and renewable materials. It offers the opportunity to scientists to propose a symposium topic which, if selected by the division board, allows the organisation of the symposium through a call for communications. In this context, FARE has proposed a topic and will co-organise the symposium  "Fluorescence Techniques Applied to Lignocellulose Characterization" together with scientists from SCION in New-Zealand, Plant Science Centre in Umea, Sweden, laboratory INRA-BIA in Nantes and laboratory UGSF CNRS / University of Lille. This symposium is dedicated to spectral and fluorescence microscopy techniques applied to lignocellulose characterization in planta or in materials.

The deadline for submitting an abstract for this symposium which will be in Orlando in Florida from March 31 to April 04, 2019 is October 29, 2018.
