Participation of the UMR FARE at French national science festival 2026

As part of the French National Science Festival (Fête de la Science), the UMR FARE (Fractionnement des AgroRessources et Environnement) took part in the Science Village coordinated by Accustica in Reims. This event provided an opportunity for researchers, engineers, technicians, and PhD students from the laboratory to engage with the public and showcase the diversity of their research activities.

Through interactive demonstrations and discussions, visitors discovered FARE’s work on biomass valorization, biorefineries, industrial biotechnology, bio-based materials, circular economy approaches, and the development of sustainable solutions supporting the transition towards a bio-based economy.

The event fostered dialogue between scientists and citizens, raised awareness of current environmental and societal challenges, and highlighted the role of research and innovation in building a more sustainable future. FARE’s participation also helped promote scientific culture and inspire younger generations to explore careers in science and research.

The laboratory warmly thanks Accustica, the event organizers, and all visitors for their interest and enthusiasm, as well as the members of FARE who contributed to the success of this outreach initiative.
