Two PhD students from FARE lab take part in the ACS conference in Louisiana!

The spring meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) was held from 17 to 21 March 2024 in New Orleans in the USA. This conference brings together thousands of scientists from all over the world.

Our PhD students Edwige Audibert (CIFRE thesis with Européenne de Biomass company and funded by ANRT) and Julien du Pasquier (thesis co-directed by CentraleSupélec's Biotechnology Chair and funded by Grand Reims) took an active part in the conference, each presenting a poster and giving an oral presentation in the “Advances In Biomass-Derived Fuels and Chemicals” division.

Edwige's poster: Comprehensive characterization of steam exploded woody biomass using NMR approaches

Edwige's oral communication: Bioethanol production from wood pretreated with continuous steam explosion: Comparative study and impact of pretreatment severity

Julien’s poster: Construction and provision of a comprehensive dilute acid pretreatment dataset on poplar wood: material, methods, and open science

Julien's oral communication: Exploration of a comprehensive dilute acid pretreatment dataset on poplar wood: modeling, mass balance, and reaction cascade

It was a great experience for our PhD candidates to be able to present their work at such a conference!
